With the close of the 2023 Calgary Stampede, there was just one last thing to do: draw the winners of the annual Rotary Dream Home and Kinsmen prizes.

The winning tickets were randomly selected on July 19, awarding cash and prizes to 166 winners. Calgarians took home 96 of this year’s prizes.

The Rotary Dream Home, worth an estimated $1.26 million, was won by Vincenzo Contrada.

Tamer El-Masri, of Calgary, took home the Stampede 50/50 which ended up at $1,303,837, while the bonus draw netted Paul McGurran of Airdrie $50,000.

“Thank you to The Greatest community for supporting the 2023 Calgary Stampede Lotteries. Each year the Stampede Lotteries proceeds go towards local charities and are re-invested back in the community,” said the Calgary Stampede.

The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali Ultimate and 2023 Crestliner 1850 Fish Hawk boat and trailer prize went to Cindy Groot, while the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD Denali and two KTM XCW Dirtbikes went to Brenda Moyen. Both winners were from Calgary.

Other GMC prizes included a 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate, which was won by Tejinderpal and Harbans Khaira of Calgary, and a 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 which went to Mel Hagel.

The Polaris Ranger XP 1000 prizes this year were won by David Greenstein and Trina Gabriel.

The Stampede said they are still calculating the total value of the money that will be going to Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park, the Kinsmen Club of Calgary and the Calgary Marching Show Band Association. Last year, that value was more than $1.3 million.

A full list of the winners for all of the prizes this year is available on the Calgary Stampede website at calgarystampedelotteries.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/CSL23-WinnersList-V1-2.pdf.
