Calgary police have charged an on-duty security guard with sexual assault after it’s alleged he picked up a woman in southeast Calgary earlier this year.
According to police, a uniformed security guard was on duty on June 10, 2026, and he approached a woman in the southeast community of Forest Lawn.
It is alleged that the security guard drove the woman to an industrial area in southeast Calgary where the woman was assaulted inside his company vehicle.
After a review of the vehicle’s in-car camera, on Wednesday, July 29, the security company reported the incident to police. Investigators from the sex assault unit found the victim and collected additional evidence.
Muhammad Hussain, 34, of Calgary was arrested Sept. 1 and charged with one count each of sexual assault and forcible confinement.
