The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating after a fatal overnight shooting in the city’s northeast.
Just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 30, Calgary police were called to the 1100 block of Cornerstone Boulevard NE for reports of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they found one victim dead at the scene.
The shooting is believed to be targeted, though no one is in custody, police said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy in the coming days, according to police.
