Two charged in 2023 Capitol Hill homicide

Calgary Police have laid charges against two men, following the shooting death of 33-year-old Jordan Jacques-Vetten on September 9, 2023 in the Calgary community of Capitol Hill.

Police allege that Robert Matthews, 25, of Chestermere along with an individual who was a youth at the time of the killing, were responsible for the death of Jacques-Vetten.

Both men have been charged with second degree murder by police.

“At this time, there is no known relationship between the men and the victim and police are not looking for any other suspects,” said CPS.

Both individuals are due to appear in court on Wednesday, January 10.
