Calgary police have laid 27 charges against a Calgary man, after a non-fatal shooting in the southwest community of Woodlands in November.
Police responded to calls about gunfire in the 0 to 100 block of Woodview Terrace SW, around 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 18, and subsequently found a man in a stairwell that was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was transferred to hospital.
The service said they saw multiple guns and a loaded magazine at the residence where the man was found and returned on Nov. 19 to execute a search warrant.
“Addressing gun violence continues to be a priority for our Service. Through investigation, prevention and enforcement activities, we have coordinated our resources to reduce victimization and enhance community safety,” said CPS.
