Calgary police are looking for a suspect vehicle and more dashcam footage after a shooting involving two moving vehicles in the city’s southwest.

Last week (May 26), around 2:05 a.m., police believe an occupant in a vehicle started shooting at another in the area of Silverado Drive and Silverado Plains Link SW, striking the vehicle at least once.

Police said that a stray bullet struck the front window of a home in the 300 block of Silverado Drive SW, while another hit the windshield of an unoccupied car on the street.

Calgary police canvassed the area for witnesses and reviewed CCTV footage, and now investigators have turned to the public for more information to identify the suspect vehicle, the victim vehicle and the occupants of either.

They’re after CCTV footage in the area of Silverado Drive SW, Silverado Plains Link and Silverado Plains Close SW from between 1:30 and 2:15 a.m. Police are hoping to find more information on a vehicle that looked like a small, dark coloured hatchback that had a burnt-out front driver-side headlight, silver rims and tinted rear windows.

The other vehicle was described as a small, black four-door car with dark-tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234.
