It was a big day on the Calgary Stampede grounds Sunday, with a monstrous crowd making their way down to enjoy activities.

It was Tim Hortons Family Day on Sunday, and that meant that families could get in for free before 11 a.m. BUT – not before they filled up on pancakes! In doing so, the Calgary Stampede set a Guinness World Record for the number of pancakes served in an eight-hour period.

There were 177,532 visitors to the Calgary Stampede on Sunday, bringing it to a massive 516,999 after the first three (and a bit) days of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. Stampede-goers will have to weather the storm(s), so to speak, this week, as there’s weather instability bringing in cooler temperatures and rain / T-Storms, according to forecasts.
