Hey, Alberta – It’s election day. Here’s how to do it.

It’s vote day in Alberta!

Here’s some information on how to cast your ballot in the 2023 Alberta provincial general election.

Your polling stations are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 29. As long as you’re in line by that time you should be legally allowed to vote.

To find out where you vote, you can go to the Elections Alberta map webpage and type in your address and it will show you the polling station(s) for your area.

You will need to bring identification, but there are a lot of things you can use for this. Here’s a rundown of acceptable ID.

How will the voting process work?  Here’s another Elections Alberta video for you to feel more comfortable getting the job done.

Do some quick research

If you don’t feel as though you’re armed with enough information to tackle the challenge of voting, you should check out the LWC election candidate tracker.  There you’ll find links to most of the candidates’ web pages so you can do some last-minute research.

Remember, it’s important to vote for what’s important to you and for the candidate that shares your values.

If you want to dig a little bit deeper (like, REAL deep), you can also find out more by going to our political donation tracker to find out who has been funding Alberta elections since 2004.

Don’t forget to check back after 8 p.m. as LiveWire Calgary will have riding results posted live!
