One person is in custody but three people are still wanted by Calgary police after a downtown CTrain stabbing Thursday evening.

Officers responded at around 6:35 p.m. Thursday to the Eighth Street SW CTrain station. They were called for reports of an assault with a weapon.

When officers arrived, they found a man that had suffered stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

According to police, a fight took place between five people they believe are known to each other. That fight resulted in the stabbing, they said.

Charges are pending against one suspect taken into custody. Three others remain at large, Calgary police said.

Calgary police said they will provide more information as their investigation continues.
