The Westgate Community Association held its annual winter festival on Saturday, delighting hundreds of residents and visitors from southwest Calgary.
Winterfest ended with thunderous applause, and bangs, with nearly a half-hour of fireworks in the field between their community association building and Vincent Massey School.
The event was one of the many community pop-up festivals being held during February as part of the city’s Chinook Blast winter festival.
