Hawker Hurricane Unveiling 

What: Check out a Hawker Hurricane #5389 plane in its restored state. Learn about the history of the plane, and how it was used for defense. More than 23,000 hours have been put into this restoration. Now, the Hangar Flight Museum wants to celebrate its history.

Festival of Crafts

La Bohème by Calgary Opera

What: Calgary Opera presents La Bohème opening this weekend. It follows the lives of a group of young artists as they eke out an existence on the bohemian fringes of Paris.

Femme Wave Presents: If Nothing Is Done, No One Is Seen

Fleetwood Mac

What: The iconic band Fleetwood Mac makes its anticipated stop in Calgary this weekend. After cancelling previous shows in the city, any tix for previous shows will be honoured.

Millarville Christmas Market

What: The Millarville Christmas Market is one of the premier shows in Alberta. Check out four days of lights, food, hayrides, music and many local vendors.

Monday, Nov. 11

The Field of Crosses Remembrance Day Ceremony

What: Every year more than 3,400 hundred crosses are displayed along Memorial Drive to symbolize the soldiers from Southern Alberta who died in action. Honour those who gave their life and thank veterans for their service in this ceremony.

Remembrance Day Cemetery Tour

What: Learn about some of the heroes laid to rest at Burnsland Cemetery through this guided tour. It’s an opportunity to hear some of the stories of those buried there, including Calgary veterans from World War I and non-Canadians.

Métis Week at the Library

What: Métis Week is an annual celebration of Métis people, their culture, and their contributions.  Check out live music, performances, children’s activities, genealogy programs, cultural workshops, and more.

City and Colour

What: Canadian musician Dallas Green returns to Calgary as City and Colour for a performance at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Guests Jacob Banks and Ben Rogers will also perform. City and Colour has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to Indspire and to MusiCounts.

Glenbow Museum Art Baby Tours

Calgary Christmas Market

What: Check out 15 seasonal vendors offering up Christmas-themed gifts, food and jewelry. Live holiday entertainment will be at the market throughout the day. Plus, Christmas cocktail samples, a hot chocolate bar and mulled wine. Visit Santa Claus and his reindeer and make some cookies with our family.

Cat Yoga
