Calgary police are investigating after a person who fell between two LRT cars died of their injuries.
According to Calgary police, around 3:20 p.m. Monday a man was on the 7 Street SW CTrain platform when he fell between the first and second cars of a westbound train.
The train had been stationary and then began moving. The victim was dragged a short distance, police said.
The 32-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he later died, police said.
Speed was not a factor. Police don’t know at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors.
