Sure, it was rainy.

The spirit of the Calgary Stampede, however, shone through once again as the annual parade opened the 2019 edition of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Despite the weather, officials still expected parade-goers to line the route and of course, the parade entries didn’t disappoint. There were 112 entries, 200 horses, 32 floats and 19 marching bands in this year’s parade.

We had Calgary freelance photographer Devon Langille hit the downtown parade route this year and here’s what she captured for us.
