Please join us at The Military Museums this November 11th for our Remembrance Day ceremony.

The museum will open its doors to the public after the Remembrance Day service at 12:00 pm and will close at 6:00 pm. Admission to the Museum will not require advance booking and will be by donation. We will not be accepting food bank donations this year.

  • 10:25 AM Arrival of VIPs and Guests of Honour
  • 10:30 AM Ceremony begins
  • 10:59 AM Last Post is performed, flags lowered
  • 11:00 AM Act of Remembrance, 2 Mins of Silence
  • 11:05 AM Ceremonial wreaths are laid
  • 11:45 AM – 6:00 PM Museum is open to the public.

Laying of wreaths: After the ceremony the public are welcomed to lay a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument. Staff will be on hand to provide an escort to and from the monument. Real poppies will be permitted to be laid. Plastic poppies are not recommended.

Hours: On Remembrance Day, the Museum will be open after the service. Admission is by donation.
Reminder to please dress warmly, and plan to arrive early as past events have been well attended.

Parking: There will be limited parking available at Master’s Academy & College. Parking is also available at the Flames Community Arena to the South and at Clear Water Academy to the West, and in the designated areas within Currie Barracks on the map. Note that access to TMM from the arena is through a pedestrian gate in the arena fence. For those with accessibility considerations, please advise our front gate staff upon arrival and they can direct you appropriately. Click the image below for a more detailed Parking Map.
