The Calgary Wild FC will have an upgraded roster for the back half of the season.
Calgary Wild FC have added two Americans, Taylor Otto and Madison Pogarch, and a Canadian, Frédérique St-Jean, to their roster.
Team head coach Leah Blayney said that the trio of new talent brings a treasure trove of professional, collegiate and international experience with them to Calgary.
“These three players bring experience, composure and versatility to our squad at an important point in the season,” she said in a statement.
St-Jean, a Montreal native, is returning to Canada following an outstanding collegiate career, most recently at the University at Buffalo where she established herself as one of the Mid-American Conference’s premier defenders, according to a team-issued release.
St-Jean is a two-time First-Team All-MAC selection and multiple All-Region honouree. Prior to Buffalo, she spent four seasons at St. John’s University, helping lead the Red Storm to multiple successful campaigns.
All three players will be in the Calgary Wild FC’s lineup Tuesday night as they take on AFC Toronto in search of their first win of the season.
