Six teens have been charged after an incident in May where another teen was stabbed.
Police said that on May 7, 2026, around 5:40 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Auburn Meadows Way SE after reports of a teen in medical distress.
When they arrived, they found a 17—year-old suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but has since been released.
According to police, they believe the victim was confronted by a group of seven teens in an alley behind the residence. There was a fight involving the six teens and the victim, with the victim being both bear sprayed and stabbed, police said.
Two suspects were taken into custody shortly after.
Through both witness statement and CCTV footage acquired by police, officers found four additional suspects involved in the assault.
Four 14-year-old boys and two 15-year-old boys were each charged with one count each of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and disguise with intent.
The teens can’t be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
“Violence of this nature involving youth is deeply concerning,” said District 8 Insp. Darry Midtdal.
“We are grateful to the witnesses and community members who came forward with information. Their assistance was instrumental in helping us identify and charge the teens involved in this senseless attack.”
