Calgary’s multi-sport soccer centre in the city’s southeast has a new name, at least for up to 10 years.

The City of Calgary and MaxWell Realty announced the signing of a 10-year naming sponsorship agreement, with the centre now being called the MaxWell Soccer Centre.

According to the city, the sponsorship will support the day-to-day operations and investments, offering longer-term sustainability for the facility.

“We’re proud to work with organizations who care about Calgary,” said Jarret Hoebers, Manager of Recreation Service Delivery at The City of Calgary, in a prepared media release.

“By working together, we’re investing not only in recreation infrastructure but in the spirit of community itself, ensuring this hub continues to strengthen social connections, support active living and add to the vibrancy of our city.”

There are no changes to programs and services, according to the city.

“At MaxWell Realty, we understand that a home is more than four walls, its where people feel connected, supported and inspired. That same spirit lives at the MaxWell Soccer Centre, where thousands of families, friends and neighbours come together every year,” said Bill Tarrabain, President of MaxWell Realty.

“Working alongside The City of Calgary allows us to invest in a place that builds community in the same way we strive to build trust with our clients, through honesty, integrity and genuine care. Together, we are ensuring this vibrant hub continues to be a place where people belong and where community spirit thrives.”
