For 2025, election results will be posted over two days as a result of the return to hand counting of ballots.

Initial results will begin on the evening of Oct. 20, as poll workers count mayoral, ward, and trustee voters for ballots cast on election day.

Elections Calgary will be counting mayoral votes first at their centralized counting centre for advance voting on Oct. 20, with those results for mayor expected by 1 a.m. on Oct. 21.

Advance ward councillor votes will resume counting at the centre in the morning of Oct. 21, with results for those races posted by the afternoon.

Trustee races for the public and separate boards will be counted after the conclusion of the advance ward councillor voting count, with final live election results expected by 8 p.m. on Oct. 21.
