Seventeen people, including nine youth, have been charged in connection with a series of break and enters across the city.

Calgary police said that more than 100 charges have been laid in 45 suspected break-and-enters in all areas of the city, with some dating back to August 2024. The bulk of the crimes took place between May and June of this year.

Police said that the people charged were all known to one another and working in a coordinated effort to target homeowners across Calgary. Three search warrants were executed at southeast Calgary homes, and there were six judicial authorizations issued.
