One person has died after a stabbing incident at a parking lot outside a southwest Calgary bar early Saturday.
Calgary police were called to the 700 block of 10 Avenue SW after reports of a fight in a parking lot in the area.

When police arrived, they found multiple victims with stab wounds. One victim was declared dead at the scene, and another victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. A short time after, a third stabbing victim arrived at the hospital. They are still trying to determine if that victim is related to the 10 Avenue SW incident.
According to police, before they arrived, multiple witnesses and suspects fled on foot. There were numerous foot chases involving officers and the Calgary Police Service Canine Unit. Four people were taken into custody, and police are determining their involvement.
Calgary police said that they now believe that multiple witnesses may have filmed the fight on cellphone.
They said they’ve spoken to more than a dozen witnesses and one potential witness fled the area in a dark coloured Tesla. Police do not believe this person was involved in the altercation.
“Our investigators are working tirelessly to piece together the events that led up to this fatal altercation,” said Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson of the CPS Homicide Unit, in a media release sent out Saturday afternoon.
“It is believed that this was an alcohol-fuelled fight, that tragically took the life of one man. We are committed to finding answers for the victim’s family and are pleading with anyone with information to come forward.”
An autopsy has been scheduled with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for April 29.
Anyone with information about the incident, including witnesses who haven’t yet talked to investigators, is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
