Calgary police are looking for multiple suspects in an ongoing string of cannabis store robberies across the city.

According to police, since Nov. 14, there have been 12 cannabis store robberies, including one where a store clerk was kicked unconscious, and suspects brandished a knife. Police said that in other incidents a handgun and a hammer have been used.

Police have now released CCTV images to help further their ongoing investigation. They are also encouraging the public to be wary of suspicious behaviour or activity near cannabis retail stores.

It’s believed that the suspects are targeting the cannabis stores for cash and products. That product can be re-sold illegally, police said.

Calgary police believe the same group of suspects is responsible for the series of robberies.

The police also encourage the public and business owners to be aware of safety and security protocols and to be vigilant of suspicious persons or activity.

Anyone with information on these robberies is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234.
