Calgary police released a composite sketch of a man found dead in a tent more than a year ago, hoping for the public’s help to identify him.

The man was found dead in a tent near 32 Avenue NE and Burroughs Manor in August 2022. The death was determined non-criminal, and his identity remains unconfirmed by the Medical Examiner’s office and police.

Police described him as being of Asian descent between 40 and 50 years old, with long white and grey hair, as well as a goatee, approximately 135 pounds and 5’6” tall.

“By releasing this sketch, we hope someone out there will be able to provide us his name so that we can bring answers to his family who are out there not knowing what has happened to him,” said Brad Moore, Calgary Police Service Missing Persons Team.

Investigators located a laptop and paperwork in the tent that had content related to betting on horse races.

They also indicate he might have a potential alias of Thanh Nguyen.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Calgary police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through www.calgarycrimestoppers.org
