Calgary police are investigating two separate deaths this weekend, including one that resulted in six people being taken into custody.

First, on Friday Calgary police were called to the Foothills Hospital after a woman suffering from substantial injuries was dropped off. She died of her injuries just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.

Homicide Unit detectives are following up with the people who dropped her off. An autopsy has been scheduled for Sept. 18.

In the second incident, Calgary police responded to the Marlborough CTrain station, in the 800 block of 36 Street NE around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found a man that had been stabbed. He was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition. The victim died in hospital.

Calgary police said they’ve taken six people into custody in connection with the death and there’s no further danger to the public.

The autopsy has been scheduled for Sept. 19.

Police said the two incidents aren’t connected.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
