Calgary police investigate suspicious death in the northwest

One person is in custody after police were called to a suspicious death in the northwest early Friday morning.

Calgary police responded around 3:30 a.m. Friday to reports of a deceased woman in the 1400 block of 29 Street NW, in the community of St. Andrews Heights. 

When they arrived, they found the woman’s body and took one man into custody at the scene.

The CPS Homicide Unit is now investigating.

Police said that an autopsy is being scheduled for next week. The investigation is in its very early stages, and they said there are no additional details at this time.
