Seven men from Calgary are part of a group of eight people arrested after one of the largest seizures of child pornography in Alberta history.

Claudio Foglia, 60 Warren Flemming, 40, Craig Drumgold, 49, Tyler Sartison, 54, Derek Eichele, 59, Thomas Weatherhead, 51 and Jesse Carlson-Lepage, 35 are the seven men from Calgary who have been arrested, with Chris Jenkins, 31 of Coalhurst, Alta. rounding out the eight-man group.

Each faces charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, and making available child pornography.

Operation ICE (Internet Child Exploitation) Storm 5 led to the arrest of eight child sexual exploitation suspects, with ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation team carrying out the arrests over the past three months.

Operation ICE Storm 5 began in April 2023 with the intention of arresting five high-level targets that were sharing and distributing vast collections of child sexual exploitation material, ALERT said.

Nearly one million child sexual exploitation photos and videos have been identified to date.

“At this point of the investigation, ICE investigators do not believe any of the victims are from Alberta, or that any hands-on offences had taken place,” read an ALERT media release.

Anyone with more knowledge pertaining to this case is encouraged to contact the police or cybertip.ca.
