Suspect sought in downtown Calgary sexual assault

Calgary police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near a downtown CTrain station.

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a woman was sexually assaulted in downtown Calgary at the Eighth Street S.W. CTrain station, located at 901C Seventh Ave. S.W.

The victim was in the process of renting an e-scooter when an unknown man grabbed her from behind and proceeded to touch her in a sexual manner without consent, according to police.

The suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’10″ tall, with a medium build, brown eyes, black hair, and a short black beard.

The night of the incident man was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants with white stripes and dark-frame glasses.
