UPDATE: Beddington death deemed non-criminal, say police

UPDATE: After an autopsy completed by the Chief Medical Examiner, the Calgary police have determined this death to be non-criminal in nature. There will be no further comment.

Calgary Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating a death that occurred on Friday, November 4 in the community of Beddington Heights.

Police said that they were called for reports of a man in distress, who was later found decreased by officers.

“Investigators and the OCME are trying to determine if the circumstances of the man’s death are suspicious,” wrote the Calgary Police Service in a statement released on Saturday.

The death occurred on Bermuda Drive N.W., near the Beddington Towne Centre shopping mall.

No additional details about the death are available, said police.

If the man’s death is found to be a homicide, it would be the city’s 24th for 2022.

Calgary Police are asking anyone with information regarding the death to call the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234, or submit information anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
