Someone in Calgary isn’t going to mind the big dump of snow today, as once they check their Lotto Max ticket, they’ll be $70 million richer.

The Lotto Max jackpot was $70 million with 63 Maxmillions in play for the Friday, Oct. 21 draw, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

Along with the big prize, Albertans took home two Maxmillions and split one of them, according to the WCLC website.

The Lotto Max jackpot hasn’t been won since the summer time and it was nearing a record amount coming into this weekend’s draw.

A Calgary ticket holder also won a portion of the second place prize.

The updated prize amount for the next draw is still at $50 million due to the unclaimed Maxmillions.
