Calgary Police: Peace Bridge vandal charged following investigation

The Calgary Police Service has charged 58-year-old Brian Douglas Jensen, following an investigation into the significant damage caused to over 70 panels of glass at the Peace Bridge on July 24.

Jensen is alleged to have damaged those panels in the early morning of July 24. He is also alleged to have damaged an additional panel on June 18.

Charges include two mischief to property over $5,000 charges, disturbing the peace, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breaches of a conditional sentence order.

Jensen is also facing a bylaw infraction for the unlawful disposal of waste in a park.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, August 5.
