Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers fans alike could say they got an exclusive Dome experience for Battle of Alberta on Friday night.

The Infinity Dome that is.

The Telus Science Centre projected game two of the second round NHL playoff series in their planetarium.

Fans were treated to one of the largest screens in town to watch the game, especially after the unexpected closure of the Red Lot big screen after high winds and inclement weather on Wednesday night.

Keeping with the theme of science, pre-game, fans got to interact with Flint, a Boston Dynamics robot dog. Staff fired up the young fans with a bit of yoga led by Flint, and then a dance party.

Fans were encouraged to make a $20 donation for their ticket, with proceeds going to support the Calgary Science Centre Society.

The first four games of the series are sold out. More details on future availability can be found on the science centre’s website at www.sparkscience.ca/whats-on/battle-of-alberta.
