The Calgary Stampede is really tempting the bold, with more than 40 new foods and drinks found on this year’s midway.

The annual tradition of finding new and sometimes wacky foods continues – and it starts with Bad Breath Lemonade (to drink before heading to Nashville North). It’s a garlic-onion fusion with ice-cold lemonade.

You’ll still be able to get your classic corn dog and cotton candy, but this year, you’ll get to tackle items – many with a spicy twist to the classics.

“The spectacular and inventive dishes brought to the Midway every year truly make the Calgary Stampede experience fun and memorable,” said Kyle Russell, Director, Stampede Programming.

Among the items on this year’s menu, Stampede-goers will be able to get Honey Habanero Ice Pops, Bao Baos, Unagi Sushi Tacos, Octopus Rangoon. Or, how about a helping of Glazed Donut Grilled Cheese?

If you’re a hot dog lover, set aside the corn dogs. Give Meal Worm Hot Dogs and Cricket Hot Dogs a try this year. Maybe even the Korean Squid Ink Corn Dog. Promise they won’t make you squirm.

Yes, you’ll still be able to get your fill of classic mini-doughnuts along the Midway.

“The culinary experience is a ‘must do’ and by purchasing a Stampede SuperPass, guests can live out their foodie adventures throughout the entire 10 days,” Russell said.

The Calgary Stampede goes from July 8 to 17, 2022.

You can get a Calgary Stampede SuperPass online for $49.
