Making it’s debut on Hockey Day in Canada, Calgary Venom took on the Calgary Scorpions Saturday, for the inaugural Parkdale sledge hockey trophy.

The trophy was presented to Calgary Venom players by former Mayor Naheed Nenshi after their commanding 3–0 victory over the Calgary Scorpions.

Calgary Flames alumni Cory Sarich and Curtis Glencross joined the two teams to help open Alberta’s first accessible outdoor hockey rink.
