Calgary police are investigating after a 17-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted in the northwest.
According to police, the girl was approached by a man at around 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, while she was exiting the 8 Street CTrain station. Police said the pair had a brief conversation and the girl started walking to Kensington.
Police said the man followed her and struck up another conversation with the girl while sitting on a bench in the 1200 block of Kensington Close NW. That’s when police believe the victim was sexually assaulted.

The man is described as having light-brown skin, black hair and moustache. He spoke with a Hispanic accent and wore tan pants and brown shoes.
They’re also looking for a potential witness who briefly spoke with the suspect and took his business card. The woman isn’t suspected of wrongdoing, but may have information that could help them, police said.
The woman is white, with dark hair, wearing a black jacket and ripped blue jeans.
