CPR fails to revive victim of Calgary house fire

CALGARY — Emergency medical treatment failed to revive the victim of a Calgary house fire early Monday.

Fire crews responded to a blaze in the northeast neighbourhood of Marlborough Park just before 1:30 a.m.

The fire department said firefighters were quickly able to get inside the building and control the main area of the fire.

One person was found and crews began CPR.

The patient was transferred to Alberta Health Services for continued care but did not survive.

No one else was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
