CALGARY – The Canada West women’s soccer game originally scheduled for Saturday, October 6 in Calgary between the Mount Royal Cougars and Alberta Pandas will now be played in Edmonton.

The change comes after Calgary received its snowiest October day in more than a century, when more than 30 cm of snow fell on the Stampede City Tuesday. The decision to move the game from Mount Royal’s Cougars Stadium Field to Alberta’s Foote Field was made to ensure a suitable playing field will be available for the game.

The rescheduled game will now be played Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. MT at Foote Field.

Edmonton was left unscathed by the snowstorm earlier this week, and will also host the Cougars and Pandas regularly scheduled match on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. MT.
