Calgary driver involved in Humboldt Broncos bus crash charged

A 29-year-old Calgary man is facing 29 charges in relation to the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others.

Investigators with the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit arrested Jaskirat Sidhu at his home in Calgary. Police say he was arrested without incident.

Sidhu is now facing 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and another 13 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear in a Saskatchewan Provincial Court sometime next week.
