Calgary police are hoping the public can provide information on the disappearance of a jellyfish sculpture from a downtown west park in mid-September.
According to police, the jellyfish-shaped sculpture had just finished being installed – complete with anchors welded to it for bolting to the ground – by the artist around 1 a.m. Sept. 16.
It had been installed at Millenium Park located in the 1200 block of 9 Avenue SW during the Beakerhead festival.
Around 10 a.m. that day, the middle piece of the sculpture was reported missing, though the anchor welded to the sculpture was still screwed into the ground.
Calgary police are looking for anyone with information about the theft, or photos or dashcam footage from the area between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day.
Anyone with information can call 403-266-1234.
