The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is now investigating after one officer was injured, and a suspect killed after police were involved in a shooting in northeast Calgary on Oct. 18.
Calgary police were executing a warrant in the 5700 block of Falsbridge Drive NE around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
While they were attempting to arrest the person, shots were fired, police said. One police officer and one suspect were shot, they said.
The suspect died and one other suspect was taken into custody, according to police.
The officer was taken to hospital in stable condition, police said.
