Two suspects remain at large in connection with the stabbing death of an 18-year-old at a southeast Calgary basketball court.
Police were called to the 0-100 block of Copperstone Road SE after reports that there was an assault with a weapon. Investigators have since learned that the victim and two friends were approached by two unknown people. There was an altercation between the two groups in which bear spray was discharged, police said. At that time the victim was also stabbed.
Both suspects remain at large, according to police.
The victim has been identified as Danillo Canales Glenn, 18, of Calgary.
After reviewing CCTV footage, the police have two suspects.

“A young man has lost his life, and several people who were present at the time of the incident have been left traumatized by this senseless confrontation,” said Staff Sgt. Brad Moore of the Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit.
“We recognize that the community of Copperfield is shaken by this incident, and many are concerned for their safety as the suspects remain at large. Please know that we have determined this to be an isolated matter and there is no risk to the public.”
Calgary police are asking anyone with information on this incident to come forward or to call police at 403-266-1234.
