Calgary Police Service is looking for information regarding a shooting that occurred in Ranchlands earlier this week.
The shooting, which took place on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at approximately 12:20 a.m., involved two men walking along the 7000 block of Ranchero Road NW.
Police said that an individuals in a black BMW sedan fired gunshots at pedestrians from the vehicle.
Although there were no reported injuries, the shooting did cause damage to several homes in the vicinity.
CPS said that they believe the shooting was a targeted attack.
“Addressing gun violence continues to be a priority for our Service. Through investigation, prevention, and enforcement activities, we have co-ordinated our resources to reduce victimization and enhance community safety,” said CPS.
“Our efforts to address gun violence rely on strong community support. If you have information that could help an investigation, such as witnessing suspicious behaviour or vehicles, please contact police.”
Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of the vehicle.
