One person died in hospital after a shooting in Calgary’s southeast early Christmas morning.
The Calgary Police Homicide Unit is investigating after officers first responded around 4:30 a.m. to the 2600 block of 36 Street SE in the community of Forest Lawn for several reports of gunfire.
The victim was taken to hospital where he later died, according to police. No other details were provided.
According to police, an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 27. If it’s determined that it was a homicide, it would be Calgary’s 26th of 2022.
