Calgary Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the Calgary community of Douglasdale early on the morning of December 15.
Police responded to reports of gunfire in on the 200 block of Douglas Ridge Circle SE at approximately 8:30 am.
A man was found dead in what investigators have alleged was a targeted shooting. The age and identity of the man have not been released, pending an autopsy to occur on Dec. 16.
Calgary police are looking for information from the public regarding an individual seen driving a white 2022 Ford Expedition filling up a container of gasoline.
That vehicle was later found on fire by the Foothills Fire Department and Okotoks RCMP at 9:40 a.mm at the 6400 block of 296 Avenue E, Foothills County.
The public is being urged to share any video footage between the hours of 7 and 9 a.m. from the Douglas Ridge SE area, and from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. from 296 Avenue E area of Foothills County.
Currently no suspects are in custody.
