Calgary police are warning the public about reports of a bear and a cub seen in two southwest Calgary communities.
Through the night, Calgary police received reports of a mama bear and her cub in the yards along the west edge of Cedarbrae and Oakridge.
It’s along the border of the Tsuut’ina Nation, Calgary police said.
Police are asking Calgarians in the area to be cautious this morning. They are suggesting homeowners look out into their yards before leaving their homes.
If you do see the bears, stay in your home or car, the police said.
Alberta Fish and Wildlife have been notified. Calgary police officers will continue to monitor the area.
Calgary police are directing anyone seeking information on bear safety to the Alberta government website.
