Two men sought in the 2019 death of Matthew Maniago

The Calgary police are looking for two men they believe have information in the 2019 shooting death of Matthew David Maniago.

In October 2019 around 11:45 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Mount Aberdeen Manor SE for reports of a man in medical distress laying in the street. Officers and EMS responded, but the man died at the scene.

The autopsy on Maniago confirmed that he’d died from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Police are now looking for two men they say are persons of interest and have information on Maniago’s death. One year ago, police were looking for two vehicles. They still haven’t found the white Honda CRV.

“Matthew deserves justice, and we are begging anyone who knows anything to please come forward. As a family we need closure, and we are desperate for answers,” said Matthew’s dad, Bob Maniago, at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234.
