Calgary police are on the hunt for a vehicle they believe may have been connected to a recent homicide in the southeast.
On Aug. 24 around 5:40 a.m., officers were called to the 0-100 block of Erin Circle SE. When they arrived, a man was suffering from life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
The victim has since been identified as Kalen Peter McKay, 34.
Calgary police officers canvassed the area and collected CCTV footage. Through that, they located a vehicle of interest. It’s a white Dodge Journey. It was seen in the area at the time the gunshots were heard.
Police are hoping to speak with anyone who may have seen the Journey in the area at the time of the incident. They’re also looking to speak with anyone who may know of people with access to the Dodge Journey who may have been going to meet McKay.
“Oftentimes, the smallest piece of information can have a huge impact with helping to solve a case,” Calgary police said in a media release.
