Calgary police have cordoned off an area in the city’s northwest after a man who was found shot later died in hospital.
Police were called to the 100 block of 15 Street NW just after midnight Jan. 22 for reports of a person in an alleyway who had been shot. The 34-year-old man was transported to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition and has since died, police said.
An autopsy is scheduled for today. The police are calling it a suspicious death.
Citizens are asked to avoid the area west of 14 Street NW between Kensington Road and 2 Avenue NW as police are in the area.
