CALGARY — Police in Calgary have issued a public appeal for details about the days leading up to the discovery of three bodies last month.
Dustin Duthie, 25, is charged with three counts of second-degree murder after his girlfriend, mother and stepfather were found dead in two different homes on July 31.
Investigators believe Duthie’s girlfriend, Taylor Toller, died around July 26, while court documents allege his mother, Shawn Boshuck, and his stepfather, Alan Pennylegion, were killed the day they were found.
Police say they need to understand what led up to the events of July 31.
They’re asking anyone who had contact with Duthie between July 26 and July 31 to speak to investigators if they have not done so already.
Earlier this week, Duthie was found fit to stand trial after undergoing an examination by a forensic psychiatrist.
Police have said it appeared the deaths were connected, but no motive has been confirmed.
They say that Duthie was believed to be driving a silver 2012 Hyundai Sonata during that time.
